Vivo y trabaja en La Serena, Chile.
Soy arquitecta y paralelamente, en estos últimos años he vuelto a enfocarme en las artes visuales.
He estado investigando en grabados, especialmente los monotipos, técnica que he ido aprendiendo en forma autodidacta en mi taller y usando herramientas de uso cotidiano.
Me atraen las huellas que van dejando las herramientas al extraer la pintura de la plancha/soporte, pues van agregando luz, transparencia y volumen.
El resultado siempre será imprevisto, ya que no trabajo con un molde o figura previa.
Mi búsqueda apunta a lo puramente gestual, en donde el protagonista es el movimiento y
la huella dejada por este gesto impreso en la plancha con todas sus variantes. Me parece que hay un lenguaje ahí, que no se agota. Trato de dejar de lado toda huella representativa para enfocarme en esta búsqueda. Utilizo de preferencia uno o dos colores, para resaltar esta gestualidad.

I live and work in La Serena, Chile. I am an architect and in parallel, in these recent years I have returned to focus on visual arts.
I have been researching in engravings, especially monotypes.
I am attracted to the traces left by the tools when removing the paint from the iron / support, as they add light, transparency and volume. The result will always be unforeseen, since I do not work with a mold or previous figure. My search points to the purely gestural, where the protagonist is the movement and the marks left by this gesture printed on the plate with all its variants. It seems to me that there is a language there, which does not run out. I try to set aside all representative models. I preferably use one or two colors, to highlight this gesture.
